The promotion of tourism
by the CCI's

In 1981, the 12 CCIs in the Rhône-Alpes region set up a Tourism, Mountain
and Border Relations Delegation within the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(CRCI).
The aim of this Delegation is to help tourism professionals not
only to promote and sell their products abroad, but also to establish tourism
as an economic activity in its own right. With the support of many partners and
sponsors (Maison de la France, Regional Tourism Committee, Air France, etc.),
the Delegation organises various regional tourism promotional drives.
 E.g.:
- "Special week-end" drives
- Appearances at professional trade
fairs
- Joint projects with foreign TV companies,
- Promotional drives
abroad (Japan, USA, England, etc.)
- Publication of documentation, books and
miscellaneous works,
- Eductours Presse and travel agencies.
The
Delegation functions as part of a network, which includes tourism consultants
from the 12 CCIs in the region:
